India and France signed 14 agreements following bilateral talks between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron in New Delhi on Saturday. Macron on Saturday said defence ties with India had reached a new high after the two nations signed a key security accord for the Indian Ocean to counter China’s growing influence in the region.

FORMER UKIP leader Nigel Farage has claimed there is a “public appetite” for Ireland to leave the European Union as he visits Dublin to promote ‘Irexit’.
Farage spoke at a Trinity College event this evening and is among a number of guests set to speak at the ‘Irexit: Freedom to Prosper’ conference in the RDS tomorrow.
